It's Time to Back the 'Cats
The competition is on. Who will you back?
From September 14–18, Wildcat teams are going head-to-head in the sixth annual Back the ’Cats competition, rallying supporters to help fuel their success at Chico State.
Choose your team, make your gift, and help them battle their way to the top of the leaderboard. Your support provides resources that help more than 350 Wildcat student-athletes succeed in their sport, in the classroom, and beyond.

Student-Athlete Success Fund
Your gift to the team (or teams) of your choice will go a long way to supporting a comprehensive student-athlete experience.
In addition to supporting teams directly, you can give to the Student-Athlete Success Fund, which provides scholarships, helps recruit top talent, and sustains vital resources like our strength & conditioning center and athletic training staff. This fund also fuels academic achievement.
During the 2025-26 academic year, Chico State student-athletes continued to improve their standard of academic achievement. The year culminated in two landmark “department bests”, as our Wildcat student-athletes earned the highest GPA and the most 3.0’s in Chico State Athletics history. This marks the 3rd straight year of setting an all-time high in those categories!
Here are the stats:
- The Athletics Department earned a 3.356 Cumulative GPA (Highest in Wildcat Athletics history)
- 284 (76%) Wildcat student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Most in Wildcat Athletics history)
- 7 Wildcats earned a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA
